This document contains both our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy for the Real Deal mobile application and related services ("Real Deal", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Real Deal, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our privacy practices.

1. Overview

This policy describes how Real Deal collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our app and services.

2. Data we collect

• Account and identity: phone number, authentication data from our sign-in provider (e.g. Firebase Auth), and profile details you choose to provide (such as display name or email if supplied).
• Location: approximate or precise location when you allow it, to show nearby deals and map features.
• Usage and device: app interactions, diagnostics, device type, OS version, and similar technical data to operate and improve the service.
• Transactions: information about purchases, deals, and payment-related identifiers as needed to process payments and prevent fraud (payment details are typically handled by our payment processor).
• Content: photos, videos, text, or other content you upload (e.g. reels or business materials).

3. How we use data

We use personal data to provide and secure the service, personalize content (including location-based offers), process payments, communicate with you, comply with law, enforce our terms, and improve Real Deal.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as security, analytics, and product improvement, balanced against your rights), consent where required (e.g. certain marketing or optional permissions), and legal obligations.

5. Sharing

We share data with:

• Service providers who assist us (hosting, authentication, maps, payments, analytics) under contracts that require appropriate protection.
• Businesses you interact with, to the extent needed to fulfill deals or manage relationships on the platform.
• Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
• Successors in a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy or equivalent notice.

We do not sell your personal information in the conventional sense of selling lists for unrelated advertising.

6. International transfers

If data is processed outside your country, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.

7. Retention

We retain data as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, and dispute resolution needs, then delete or anonymize it when no longer necessary.

8. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Your rights

10. Children

Real Deal is not directed at children under the age required for digital consent in your region. If you believe we have collected data from a child inappropriately, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

Our mobile app may use local storage, SDKs, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, and analytics, consistent with platform rules.

12. Marketing

We may send operational messages (e.g. verification codes). Promotional communications, if any, will be sent in line with your choices and applicable law.

13. Changes to this policy

We will update the "Last updated" date when we make changes and provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate.
